SOLD...not available at this time.Single mounted signed McChesney nickel plated iron spurs. J.R. McChesney (1866-1928) rarely signed his spurs, these are most likely the product of a handful former McChesney factory workers who continued to make spurs after J.R. McChesney's death for the then fledgling Nacona boot Co. of Texas. One would imagine that spurs and a boot maker would go hand in hand but come 1933 four of the five makers would go the their separate ways and spur production stopped. These are heavy iron spurs with some spots of corrosion- more of sign of legitimate age than a flaw- please see photos.Rowels move freely and are not frozen. Great spurs from a very narrow window of time 1928-33.
